Your motorcycle is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels. Hydraulic brakes
require brake fluid for its operation. Both front and rear brakes have a brake fluid reservoir built into the
master cylinders. Follow the procedures below to adjust the brake levers to the specified ranges and check
fluid levels.
1. Remove the cotter pin
2. Remove the pin
.
3. You can adjust the lever by turning the coupler
is too tight, raise the return spring
loosen the lock nut
4. Once lock nut is loose, adjust the coupler by turning it
clockwise or counterclockwise, insert the brake lever
back in to the coupler, insert the pin and check the lever
height. If it is the desired height, tighten the lock nut,
reinstall the pin and then the cotter pin. Make sure the
cotter pin is opened so that the pin does not fall out.
1. Check the level of the brake fluid by looking in the sight
glass
periodically with the motorcycle in the upright
position.
2. The fluid level should not be lower than half way
3. If the level is lower than half way, check the brake pads
for wear and the system for leaks.(Pg. 47)
