SERVICING YOUR GENERATOR
3. Remove the negative (–) cable from the battery negative (–) terminal, and
then remove the positive (+) cable from the battery positive (+) terminal.
POSITIVE (+) CABLE
4. Remove the battery and the battery rubber from the battery tray.
This symbol on the battery means that this product must not be
treated as household waste.
An improperly disposed of battery can be harmful to the environment and
human health.
Always confirm local regulations for battery disposal.

Battery Charging

The battery is rated at 8.6 Ah (ampere-hours). Charging current should equal
10% of the battery's ampere-hour rating. A battery charger should be used that
can be adjusted to deliver 0.9 amps.
Battery: 12 V 8.6 Ah (10 HR)
1. Connect the battery charger following the manufacturer's instructions.
2. Charge the battery 3–4 hours.
3. Clean the outside of the battery and the battery tray compartment with a
solution of baking soda and water.
