Pull the support rod out of its clip
by holding the grip, and insert the
end into the designated hole in the
hood.

V6 models
V6 models
Lift the hood up most of the way.
The hydraulic supports will lift it
up the rest of the way and hold it
up.
To Close the Hood:
4-cylinder models
Lift it up slightly to remove the
support rod from the hole. Put the
support rod back into its holding clip.
Lower the hood to about a foot
(30 cm) above the fender, then let it
drop. Make sure it is securely
latched.
V6 models
Lower it to about a foot (30 cm)
above the fender, then press down
firmly with your hands. Make sure it
is securely latched.
