The Binatone FHD500GW camera may not be charging when connected to the car's cigarette lighter due to several possible reasons:

1. Faulty Car Adapter – The provided car adapter may be damaged or not functioning properly.
2. Improper Connection – The adapter may not be securely plugged into the cigarette lighter socket.
3. Car Power Outlet Issue – The vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket may not be providing power.
4. Battery or Device Issue – The camera’s rechargeable battery may be faulty or unable to hold a charge.
5. Cable Problem – A damaged or incompatible USB cable may prevent charging.
6. Power Requirements Not Met – The car adapter may not provide the required 5V 1.5A output.

To resolve the issue, check the connections, try a different power source, test the adapter in another vehicle, or replace the cable or adapter if necessary.
