IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Your motorcycle can provide many years of
service and pleasure – if you take
responsibility for your own safety and
understand the challenges you can meet
while riding.
This motorcycle has been designed for
younger riders, as well as for smaller adults.
However, not all youngsters are physically
or emotionally ready to ride. Therefore,
before parents allow any youngster to ride
this motorcycle, we urge them to carefully
read the Important Message to Parents on
page 1.
There is much that you can do to protect
yourself when you ride. You'll find many
helpful recommendations throughout this
manual. Following are a few that we
consider to be most important.
Speed Restrictor for New Riders
This motorcycle is equipped with a throttle
limiter which has been adjusted to its lowest
setting to restrict top speed, when shipped
from the factory. The throttle limiter screw
in the lower throttle housing can be
adjusted to limit throttle grip movement
(page 67).
Use the throttle limiter with the
transmission set in first gear until your
youngster becomes familiar with operating
the motorcycle.
Adjustment of the throttle limiter thereafter
should be in accordance with the ability of
the rider.
It is important for the safety of a child rider
that the throttle limiter is set according to
the ability, experience and maturity of the
rider.
