Separate VHF and UHF Antennas If you have two separate antennas for your TV (one VHF and one UHF), you must combine the two antenna signals before connecting the antennas to the TV. This procedure requires an optional combiner-adaptor (available at most electronics shops).

Selecting the Video Signal-source Before your television can begin memorizing the available channels, you must specify the type of signal source that is connected to the TV (i.e., an antenna or a cable system). Press MENU to display the menu.
“Channel.” Press VOL + to access the Channel sub-menu. Press CH ▼ to select “Auto program”. Press VOL +. The TV will begin memorizing all of the available channels. After all the available channels are stored, the Auto program menu reappears.

Your TV comes equipped with a “universal” remote control. In addition to controlling the TV, the universal remote can also operate a VCR and a cable box (even if your VCR and cable box are made by manufacturers other than Samsung).
Setting Up Your Remote Control to Operate Your Cable Box Turn off your cable box. On your Samsung remote control, press SET. Press the CABLE button on the top right of your remote con- trol. Enter both digits of the cable box code listed below for your brand of cable box.

These captions are usually subtitles for the hearing impaired or foreign-language trans- lations.
