5 MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Disconnect the electrical power
Always unplug the heater from the power supply before performing maintenance on the
device.
Do not disassemble any part of the heater while it is powered and until it has cooled
down!
The purpose of this chapter is to provide all the information on maintenance procedures and
the frequency required for the Electric radiant infrared heater.
INTERVENTION
1. General visual inspection
2. Check that plates are clearly visible and legible
3. Check the flexible electrical cable
4. General cleaning
5. Replacement of the bulb
1. General visual inspection: check the overall condition of the device, particularly the
bulb housing, the protection grille, support, etc., to establish if there are any damaged
or missing parts.
2. Check that plates are clearly visible and legible:
perfectly visible and legible. It is therefore necessary to keep it clean and ask for a
replacement if it is illegible.
3. Check the flexible electrical cable: regularly check the efficiency and the state of
conservation of the power cord. Check that there are no points which are not isolated
and that everything works properly. Check if there are signs of damage or ageing.
If it is not in good condition do not use the heater but have it repaired by Technical
Support personnel.
4. General cleaning: cleaning is necessary to free the handle or screen from the
accumulation of dust or dirt.
Cleaning
The heater is made of plastic materials. Applying organic solvents (such as benzene), or
other chemicals for cleaning may cause deformation or discolouration.
Clean the device gently, using a soft dry cloth.
