• The knob must be pressed for about 6
seconds until the flame is lighted and
warmed up.
• To light a burner simply press the
corresponding knob and turn it in the
counter-clockwise direction to the High
setting, keep press until the burner is
lighted.
If
the
accidentally, turn off the gas
with the control knob and try to
light it again at least 1 minute
later.
• To turn off a burner Turn the knob in the
clockwise direction until it is stopped.
For safety reasons, it is recommended
to close the gas supply if you are not
using this appliance.
• For best performance, follow these
general guidelines:
• Use the appropriate cookware for each
burner in order to prevent the flame to
reach the side of the pot or pan.
• Always use cookware with a flat bottom
and keep the lid on.
• When the contents come to a boil, turn
the knob to "Low".
For best performance, keep in mind the
following:
• All types of pans can be used on this
appliance. However, it is important that
the bottom be perfectly flat. Pans with
thicker bottom distribute heat more
evenly.
• The cookware bottom diameter at least
as large as the cooking area so that all
of the heat produced by the heating
element is used.
• Make sure that the bottom of the pot
is always dry and clean to insure good
contact between the cookware and the
cooking surface.
Note: In the first use you can detect a
rubber odor. This smell is normal and will
disappear after some time.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Before cleaning the unit, disconnect it
from the power source or gas supply.
• To extend the life of the unit it is
recommended that this unit be cleaned
regularly and carefully in order to
protect the finish of the unit. Follow the
directions given below:
• The enamelled parts and the inside of
the oven should be washed with warm
water.
• Avoid the use of strong detergents or
solvents as this may damage the finish.
• The removable parts of the unit should
be washed with plenty of water and
mild detergent. Always be sure to
remove adhering foods. The glass of
the oven can be extracted for a deeper
cleaning:
• In units with automatic ignition, please
clean the electronic ignition device
carefully and frequently. Make sure
that the gas holes are not plugged.
• The stainless steel surface may show
spots if it remains in contact with
highly calcareous water or very strong
detergents for a very long period of time.
To avoid this it is recommended that
these parts be thoroughly washed with
water and dried thoroughly. It is also
recommended to clean up any spills
that may occur as soon as possible.
