    Your Phone Description (continued) Makes or answers a call. When held down in the idle mode, recalls the last number dialled or received. In the menu mode, selects a menu function or stores information that you have entered (such as a name) in the phone or SIM memory.

    Your Phone Service Light The service light is below the external display on the folder cover. It flashes when services are available on the phone. To activate or deactivate use of the service light, set the Service Light menu option ( Menu 5.7.4 ); see page 90 for further details.

    Your phone is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery. A travel adapter and battery charger are provided with your phone. Use only approved batteries and chargers. Ask your local Samsung dealer for further details. Note : You must fully charge the battery before using your phone for the first time.

    Options During a Call Muting/Sending Key Tones These options allow you to turn the key tones off or on. If the Mute keys option is selected, your phone does not transmit the key tones. It allows you to press keys without hearing annoying key tones during a call.

    Messages The SMS (Short Message Service) function is a network service and may not be supported by your network. Messages can be sent by text, fax, Email and paging messaging systems, provided that these services are supported by your network. To send text messages by phone, you must obtain the number of the SMS center from your service provider.
