kit. The installation is not proper or complete
until the operation of the converted appliance
is checked as specified in the manufacturer's
instructions supplied with the kit.
Tools Required:
Ratchet, 3/8" socket, T20 Screwdriver or
socket bit, 1/4" Nut driver, 7/16" wrench, suction cups (x2)

Carefully inspect all parts supplied with this conversion
kit. If any parts have been damaged, are incorrect or
missing, contact your Urbana dealer or distributor to
have them replaced before starting this installation.
Conversion Kit Installation
1. Turn the unit off by pressing the ON/OFF Key on the
remote and shut off gas supply at the shut-off valve
upstream of the unit. CAUTION: The gas supply

Fuel Conversion Instructions
Applicable for kits : 50-3957, 50-3958, 50-3959, 50-3960, 50-3961, 50-3962
must be shut off prior to disconnecting the electrical
power and before proceeding with the conversion.
Allow the valve and unit to cool down to room
temperature.

Remove the outer glass, louvers, and front inner
glass as outlined in the M
of the fireplace installation manual. The inner side
glass doesn't need to be removed.
3. Remove the burner media, bezel set (if used) and the
burner assembly as outlined in the M
S
section of the fireplace installation manual.

Convert the pilot injector (see Figure 1):
a) Using a

turn counter-clockwise

b) Push the slider with your finger or flat head
screwdriver
- Natural Gas is marked NAT.
- Propane gas is marked LP with an indicating
hole between L and P.
c) Turn the pilot head a

Convert the burner orifice:
a) Remove the main burner orifices with a 3/8"
socket
b) Put a bead of pipe-thread sealant into the orifice
mount. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN
c) Install the new orifice supplied in the kit
5. Convert the SIT gas valve:
a) Use a T-20 driver to remove the two screws that hold
the base of the stepper motor to the gas valve and
