Messages

You can send and receive text
messages, multimedia messages,
and emails. You can also access
Push messages and Broadcast
messages.
To access this menu, press OK in
Idle mode and select Messages.

text messages, multimedia
messages, or email.

Short Message Service (SMS) allows
you to send or receive text
messages.
Creating and sending an SMS
message
1. Enter your message.
Notes:
• The maximum number of
characters allowed in a text
message depends on the
encoding setting. If your
message exceeds the
maximum number of
characters, the phone will
split the message.
• You can use various options
by pressing OK.

2. When you have finished, press
OK and select Save and send
or Send only.
3. Enter a destination phone
number.
4. Press SEND to send the
message.
Using options while composing
an SMS message
While composing a message, press
OK to access the following options:
• Save and send: send the
message and then save it in the
Sent folder.
• Send only: just send the
message.
• Insert: insert a Phonebook
entry, bookmarked URL address,
or text template to text.
• Save as draft: save the
message in the Drafts folder.
• Attach: attach a name card or
calender data as a data format
attachment.
• Add new phrases: add a word
or phrase in PTI mode.
• Cancel: exit the Text message
menu.
