Key Tone
Using this menu, you can set up the keypad tone that
the phone sounds when you press a key.
The following options are available:
Type: allows you to select a tone that the phone
sounds when you press a key. Choose one of Beep,
Rain Drop, Drum Sound, and Lady's Voice.
Volume: allows you to adjust the volume of the
keypad tone using the Navigation keys or the Volume
keys on the left side of the phone.
Alerts
Your phone gives audible alerts (beeps) at a specified
time to inform you that certain things have happened.
The alerts only occur in your earpiece so that the other
person does not hear them.
The available alerts are:
Folder: When this option is set to On, the phone
sounds an alert when you open and close the folder.
Minute Beep: When this option is set to On, the
phone sounds an alert 50 seconds before each
elapsed minute to remind you of the length of the
current call.
Service Alert: When this option is set to On, the
phone sounds an alert when you exit service area or
when you return to a service area.

Connect: When this option is set to On, the phone
sounds the connect tone when your call is connected
to the system.
Disconnect: When this option is set to On, the phone
sounds the disconnect tone when a call is
disconnected.
Fade: When this option is set to On, the phone
sounds an alert when a dropped call occurs during
conversation in response to a signal fade.
Roam: When this option is set to On, the phone
sounds an alert when your phone starts roaming.
Roam Ringer
You can set the phone to use a distinctive ring for
incoming roaming calls.
Choose Distinctive to use a distinctive ringer or
Normal to use a normal ringer.
Tone Length
This menu allows you to select Short or Long DTMF
(Dual Tone Multi-Frequency) tones. DTMF tones are
sent by your phone to access teleservices, such as a
bank account. The system used by the bank or other
service determines if you need short or long DTMF
tones. If the service is digital, as most are, short DTMF
tones will almost always work.
