    Chapter 2: Hardware Installation Caution: Network cards are sensitive to static electricity. To protect the card, avoid touching its electrical components and always touch the metal chassis of your computer before handling the card. Switch off the computer, unplug the power cord, and remove the computer’s cover.
  • Page 18 Hardware Installation Replace the computer’s cover and power it on. The Tiger Card™ 10G should be automatically configured by the host computer’s BIOS. However, if you have an older computer, you may have to manually configure the computer’s BIOS settings.     Windows drivers. You will need local administrative privileges on the target machine in order to install the SMC network drivers. If you do not have administrative privileges on the target machine, contact your system administrator for assistance. Driver installation can be performed before or after installing the Tiger Card™ 10G into the target machine.
