Operation Check
Plug the power cord into the instrument and turn on the
power switch. Make sure the lamp comes on.
NOTE:
The D
lamp does not come on if the D

Check of Lamp Energy
(a)
Warm up the instrument for 1 hour.
(b)
Check lamp energy using CDS.
For operation of CDS, refer to the maintenance
edition of the instruction manual for CDS.
(c)
Make sure the lamp energy value (at 250 nm)
indicated on CDS is 12,000 counts or more when the
slit is set in the Coarse mode.
(d)
On CDS, reset the cumulative lamp-on time and the
lamp-on count.
NOTE:
Upon resetting the cumulative lamp-on time and the
lamp-on count, their indications are reset to
0 hour and 1 count, respectively.
NOTE:
If lamp energy value cannot be recovered even after
lamp replacement, deviation of the optical axis,
contamination of optical components such as mirror or
flow cell, etc. can be assumed.
In this case, ask the maintenance service company
authorized by Hitachi High-Technologies for adjustment
of the instrument.
