PC CONNECTION

Your SMARTSPEED base unit can be connected to your PC for:

  • Uploading team lists, new drills and software updates
  • Downloading data

To connect, use one of the following methods:

  • USB cable (Windows or Mac PC running Windows emulator such as parallels)
  • Wifi or Bluetooth file transfer (Windows or Mac PCs)
  • SD card file transfer (Windows or Mac PCs)

To connect with a USB cable, you may need to install 3rd party software from Microsoft. Links to these are available on the Fusion Sport website support page. Windows XP users will need to install MS Activesync. Windows 7 computers should connect automatically with the installed Windows Mobile Device Centre. If this is not pre-installed on your PC you can also download this for free from Microsoft.

SETTING THE DEVICE CHANNEL

Each SMARTSPEED system is set to a specific radio frequency channel. If your Base Unit does not recognise your SMARTSPEED or SMARTSPEED LITE units, the most likely cause is a mismatch in RF settings.

To learn more please read the SMARTSETUP User Guide, which can be found in www.fusionsport.com/support/documents

UPDATING SOFTWARE

Software updates are provided via the Fusion Sport website www.fusionsport.com/support/software

To check your current software version:

  • Start the SMARTSPEED software on the device
  • Go to the Help/About menu item.
  • Check the software version and compare to the latest version number on the web.

Full instructions on how to update software or perform a clean install are provided in the support area.

Be sure to install the correct software for your PDA model (P-series). The file will be marked "_P".
