Safety instructions
The safety instructions must be observed under all circumstances:
The device is intended for use in buildings.

The device is intended for operation in a dry, dust-free location without
●
direct sun exposure.
The device is intended exclusively for measuring electrical energy and must
●
not be operated outside of the specified technical data.
Frequent switching on and off can shorten the lifespan of electronic
●
devices. Only set up automatic switching with frequent switching on and
off if the connected devices are designed for this. We are not liable for any
damage to connected devices.
When installing or changing the device, the conductors that are connected
●
to the device must be free of voltage. With CT meters, the secondary side
of the transformer must be short-circuited or the primary side opened,
otherwise high and life-threatening voltages can arise. This may destroy
the transformer and cause life-threatening injuries to people.
Touching live parts is life-threatening! For this reason, the corresponding
●
pre-fuses must be removed and stored in such a way that other people
cannot reinsert them unnoticed.
The device may only be installed by competent and appropriately trained
●
personnel.
The local safety and factory regulations must be observed.
●
For currents greater than 65A, the following cable requirements must be
●
met: T installation cable, blank Cu cable, cross-section: 35mm2
The screws of the cable connections should be tightened with a torque of 3
●
Nm.
smart-me hardware must not be modified or improperly repaired. No liability
●
is accepted for any resulting damage.
The energy meter must be installed in a cabinet with protection class IP51
●
or better
Isolation of the mains connection terminals: Reinforced
●
Isolation of S1, S0-0 and E1 terminal connections: If a terminal with
●
voltages above SELV is used, reinforced insulation is required for all
terminals.
