- You can also use the cup selector dial to fine tune the amount of coffee grinds produced to make the coffee weaker or stronger to your own personal taste.
GRIND CONSISTENCY
- Turn the coffee bean container to adjust the coarseness of the grinds produced. It is important that the grinds are suitable for your coffee maker or it could produce an inferior coffee. Use the table provided to find which grind of bean you require, please adjust where necessary depending on the coffee bean used.
- Please note that the coarseness setting is particularly critical when grinding for use in espresso machines; too fine a grind may reduce the flow and over extract the coffee, too coarse a grind may increase the flow and under extract the coffee. Both can result in poor tasting coffee with little or no crema, adjust the grind size to suit your particular espresso maker.
- Remember never to grind more coffee beans than you need for use in the next hour as ground coffee rapidly oxidises and is quickly spoilt. If you grind more coffee than necessary, it can be kept for a short length of time, in a sealed container in the fridge.
