Please read all of the operating instructions and particularly the safety instructions prior to using the meat thermometer for the first time. Please carefully store the instructions for future reference. If you give the thermometer to a nother user, give that user the instructions together with the product.
The meat thermometer measures the core temperature of the meat and is inserted into the joint for regular checks throughout the cooking process. The clear scale also enables the thermometer to be read through the oven window. Clear symbols on the thermometer show at what temperature the corresponding types of meat are free from harmful bacteria and can be eaten safely. For an exact measure ment, the thermometer should be inserted approx. three quarters of the way into the meat to be cooked/roasted. Please ensure that the measurement rod is inserted into the middle of the joint if possible and is not near to bones or fat. You can serve the meat when the core temperature has been reached and maintained for approx. five minutes. Of course, you can also cook the roast for longer this is a matter of personal taste.
Clean the thermometer with water and detergent before it is used for the first time. Clean the thermometer after each use under running water with a little washing up liquid. The display may fog up when cleaning directly after use. However, this disappears after a short time.
