PARK ASSIST

Park Assist Pilot*
Park Assist Pilot can assist the driver to manoeuvre the car while
parking. The driver's job is to pay attention around the car, follow
the centre display instructions, select gear, control the speed and
be prepared to brake/stop.
Parking with Park Assist Pilot
Drive at a speed slower than 30 km/h (20 mph) for par-
allel parking or 20 km/h (12 mph) for perpendicular
parking. The distance between the car and the parking
spaces should be approximately 1 metre (3 feet) when
the function is searching for a parking space.
1. Press the
Park In
era view.
2. Be ready to stop the car when the graphic and text in
the centre display advise that a suitable parking
space has been found. A pop-up window is shown.
3. Select
Parallel parking
then select reverse gear.
4. Follow the instructions in the centre display.
Exit parallel parking using Park Assist Pilot
The function can only be used for a parallel-parked car.
1. Press the
Park Out
the camera view.
2. Use the direction indicator to select the direction in
which the car should leave the parking space.
3. Follow the instructions in the centre display.
Park assist camera*
The park assist camera can assist the when manoeuvring in tight
spaces by indicating obstacles with camera images and a graphic
in the centre display. Selection of camera views and park assist
button in the function view or cam-

Perpendicular parking
button in the function view or in
lines is made in the centre display. Note that objects/obstacles
may be closer to the car than they appear to be on the screen. The
park assist camera is activated automatically when reverse gear is
selected or manually in the centre display:
