to execute the trimming in the upwards direction, i.e. in the direction of the growth. If you proceed from the top
down, the thinner branches would deflect in the outward direction, creating gaps or less dense areas in the
hedge.
To achieve a straight cut on the top of the hedge, stretch a string at the required height along the entire length of
the hedge.
Be careful not to cut foreign objects, such as metal wires, fencing, etc., which could damage the blades or the
hedge trimmer driving mechanism.
Shall the blades stall or become blocked by an object, immediately turn the hedge trimmer off and unplug it from
the outlet. Only then you can clean the tool.
Suitable periods for hedge trimming:
It is recommended to trim deciduous hedges in June and in October.
It is recommended to trim conifer hedges in April and in August.
Fast growing coniferous and other bushes shall be trimmed every 6 weeks, starting in May.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Disconnect the hedger trimmer from power prior to any maintenance activities.
Note: To ensure a long life and reliable use of the product, conduct the below stated maintenance tasks in
regular intervals.
Inspect the hedge trimmer visually on a regular basis, looking for defects such as disconnected, lose or
damaged blades, lose contacts or worn or damaged parts of the machine.
Make sure that no covers and protective devices are damaged and that they are correctly attached.
All needed repairs or maintenance shall be done prior to further use of the hedge trimmer.
Shall a defect occur despite the care dedicated to the hedge trimmer as a part of its production and inspections,
the repair shall be conducted exclusively by an authorized service company.
When handling or cleaning the blades, use protective gloves.
Clean the blades and apply the maintenance spray to them after each use (Fig. 5). Inspect the blades visually
and determine their condition.
Clean the outer parts of the trimmer using a soft brush and rag. Do not use water, solvents or abrasive agents.
Remove all dirt from the trimmer. Particularly, clean the motor ventilation openings.
Store the hedge trimmer in a dry and safe place, out of the reach of children. Do not place any other objects on
top of the hedge trimmer.
