2.5 InTouch

The extraction hood has the InTouch function. If you
have an induction hob from Novy with InTouch, you can
operate the extraction hood from the hob. There is also
the option that the extraction hood can be operated with
a remote control.
Programming InTouch on the induction plate
The remote control must first work with the hood. If nec-
essary, the remote control code can be changed, as
described in Section 2.5
− Connect the plate to the mains supply.
− Touch simultaneously the keys
plate until you hear a beep signal (prox. 7 sec.).
− The cooker plate now searches automatically for the
hood code.
− Wait until the cooker hood illumination begins to flashing
OR you hear a "click" sound when you have an extractor
hood without lighting (Be patient, this can betake a while).
− Does the light blink or you hear the "click" sound; press
immediately on any InTouch key or
on the induction hob.
− You will hear a "beep" signal to indicate the link between
the two devices.
Now you can operate the hood with the keys on the in-
duction plate.
You can find more information about using the InTouch
functions in the InTouch manual for the hob.

2.6 Operation via mobile application

This cooker hood can also be remotely controlled via a
mobile device. Is the Novy application on your mobile
device installed, then you can connect it to the cooker
hood. When the cooker hood is not connected to the
mobile device then the cooker hood can be operated in
a normal way via the remote control of the cooker hood
itself.
Set up
To use the Novy application for your cooker hood and
appliance installation you will need the following:
− The cooker hood must be connected to the mains power
supply and to be turned on.
− A smartphone or tablet with a current version of iOS or
Android operating system.
− Download the Novy application through your favourite
app store. Your cooker hood and mobile device should
be within range of each other
The application will guide you through the entire procedure.
Follow the clues in the application.

Some of the functions can only be activated,
changed or consulted via this mobile applica-
tion.

3 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Follow all instructions as described in the Con-
ditions for Safety and Use section.

Follow the cleaning instructions below for a
longer working life and optimal operation of the
appliance.

The bottom panel, grease filter and recircula-
tion filter can fall out when you are handling
them. This can result in damage. Make sure you
hold the bottom panel and the filter(s) securely
at all times when handling them.

The cooker hood is securely attached to the
ceiling using suspension cables or frame-
work, but its construction allows it to oscillate
slightly, so that unexpected shocks are easily
absorbed without damage.
This can cause the hood to move during cle-
aning. Do not let the cooker hood swing. Do not
pull on the cables.

WARNING! Risk of injury! Open and close the
bottom panel slowly. Use a stable stepladder
and pay attention to stability. Do not step on the
hob or the worktop surface.

fore you start cleaning the extractor hood.
