Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 Although the GX2MP display can be used in either digital or analog video mode, the instructions herein relate to the use of the display in digital mode. Both the graphics board and the Dome CXtra software in the display package require the DVI-D interface.

Display Components The 1600x1200 panel is sized to a 541 mm (20.1 in.) display screen. The onscreen menu controls, power button, and LED indicator are located on the front of the unit. The input power and video ports are located on the back of the unit.

Installing the Display Controller Remove any existing graphics card and its driver from your computer system before you install the controller and driver. Also disable any onboard graphics capability on the motherboard. See safety precautions on page 2. To install the controller 1 Turn off your computer and all peripherals.
Connecting the Display Use only the video cable and power cord supplied with your display. To connect the display 1 Plug one end of the DVI cable into the digital video port on the display. Secure the connection. 2 Plug the power cord into the input port. 3 Plug the other end of the DVI cable into the video port on the installed controller.
4 Click Yes to the license agreement. The installation starts. 5 Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation. Planar recommends that you select the Express installation option. 6 When the Setup complete message appears, select Yes, I want to restart my computer now and click Finish.
1 Right-click the desktop and select Properties > Settings. 2 Select the monitor that you want to change. Then click Advanced. 3 Click the Monitor tab. Make sure the check box for Hide modes that this monitor cannot display is empty (unchecked).

Using Menu Controls Use the onscreen menu to make adjustments to display settings such as bright- ness, contrast, position, and language. (Refer to GX2MP User’s Guide for complete information on the onscreen menu.) You can access the menu whenever both the computer and display are on.

Making Screen Adjustments IMPORTANT: Allow the display to stabilize for at least 30 minutes before making screen adjustments. Logic of onscreen menu controls To make screen adjustments 1 Press the MENU button. The main menu appears. 2 Use the MINUS or PLUS button to access a control. 3 Press the AUTO/SET button when the icon you want is highlighted.
Product Information The design of the GX2MP display takes into account every known measure to ensure your personal safety. Improper use of the display can result in electric shock, fi re, or damage to components. Intended use The GX2MP display is intended as a general-purpose display for use in clinical environments where DICOM conformance is desired.
Handling the Display • Set up your display on a stable, level surface away from any direct light or heat source, but near a grounded AC outlet. • Choose a well-ventilated location with an adequate amount of space. Do not block the vents on the back of the display.
Cleaning the LCD Screen Do not spray or use acetone, toluene, or harsh solvents on the display case or screen. Use a dry, clean, lint-free cotton cloth to remove surface dust from the display screen. Do not use chemically treated dust cloths. To remove contaminants 1 Disconnect the power supply from the unit.
