    6.9.1 Setting the device to transport mode If you are going to transport your cordless handheld vacuum cleaner, set it first to transport mode. This ensures that it does not switch on accidentally. You can only ship the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner with the battery installed if the battery is in transport mode.

    Operation 9.3.1 Extending the sealing lip • Move the slider (1) on the underside of the hard floor brush to extend or retract the sealing lip. With the sealing lip retracted (2), it is possible to vacuum larger particles of dirt. The extended position (3) is particularly suitable for cleaning floors with grooves.

    10.2 Operation When using the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner in combination with the electric upholstery brush, you can either lay the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner flat, hold the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner in your hand with the rotating handle folded in [} 24] the shoulder strap [} 86].

    10.2.2 Cleaning upholstery 1. Take the cordless vacuum cleaner in your hand or lay it down on the upholstery next to the area that is going to be cleaned. 2. Do not pull the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner across the floor.
  • Page 73 Lavenia can be used with all mattresses with textile and solid surfaces. Lavenia is not suitable for cleaning upholstered furniture. One bag of Lavenia is enough to thoroughly clean an area of mattress measuring 1m x 2m. 1. Pull the suction shoe (1) down at the recessed grip and away from the electric upholstery brush.

    14. Switch on the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner. The slide switch on the electric upholstery brush must be switched to the setting for vacuuming surfaces (12). 15. Vacuum the dry Lavenia powder using the electric upholstery brush with the mattress deep cleaning accessory on power setting ‘med’.

    10.3.2 Maintenance of the electric upholstery brush 1. Disconnect the electric upholstery brush from the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner. 2. Detach the suction shoe (1) by pulling downwards. 3. Brush or wipe the device dry. 4. Check the suction shoe every once in a while to ensure that no threads or hairs have coiled around the roller brushes.

    10.3.3 Cleaning the mattress freshening accessory After the cleaning process, Lavenia residue may be stuck to the nubbed disc which impairs functionality during subsequent use. 1. Check the nubbed disc for residual dirt after every mattress cleaning. 2. Vacuum away any Lavenia residue. The nubbed disc can also be removed for cleaning under running water.
