1. General description
The VBS 2010 TX analogue optical video baseband
transmitter converts a composite video signal into
an optical equivalent. Signal integrity is preserved
with the aid of video clamping.
The VBS 2010 TX utilises an optical wavelength of
850 nm and needs multimode optical fiber.
The 7TE modules are to be used in combination
with TKH Security's MC 10 or MC 11 power
supply cabinets.
Using TKH Security's ADV units, the signal
transmitted by these plug-in modules can in
addition to video comprise two data signals, still
using only one optical fiber.
2. Indicators and connectors
Figure 1 shows the signal connection facilities and
indicators on the front panel of a VBS 2010 TX
single-channel transmitter (see also table 1).

3. Installation instructions
1. Plug the module into a power cabinet and
connect
optical
fiber
equipment to the module: optical cord to the output
and video lead to the input (figure 1 and table 1).
2. After switching on the cabinet, at least the green
DC LED must glow.
3. On feeding the TX video input with a proper
signal, the NV LED (red) should go out.

4. Care and maintenance
In order to maintain reliable operation of the
module, observe the following:
- Prevent dust from collecting on the equipment
- Protect the equipment against moisture
- Maintain sufficient free space around the equip-
ment for cooling.
