5. Operation

5.1 Inserting batteries
NOTICE
Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for the intended use�
»
Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation�
»
Ensure the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and -)�
»
Remove batteries from equipment that is not to be used for an extended period of time� Remove
»
used batteries promptly�
Change the batteries when the indicator (E) flashes red.

50-Liter model
1� Remove the cover of the battery compartment (C) located on the back side of the lid (B)�
2� Insert 3 type D/LR20 batteries correctly for 50-Liter model, or 2 AA/LR6 batteries for 12- and 20-Liter
models�
3� Refit the cover.
