NSTALLATION
1.2 Software
One of the following versions of Microsoft Windows is required:
Windows XP, with Service Pack 3 or greater
Windows Vista, with Service Pack 2 or greater
Windows 7
Both 32-bit and 64-bit variants of Windows are supported.

These instructions are for installing the EDK software, documentation and support utilities.
Note: To install the software, you must have Administrator privileges to the system.
2.1 Installing IAR Embedded Workbench

You can either download the installer from the IAR website, or use the IAR CD-ROM provided:

Click on Install IAR Embedded Workbench and follow the instructions. If you want to learn
how to obtain an IAR Embedded Workbench license and how to install the software, select
Installation and licensing information instead.

Go back to the installation window, click Install drivers, select the Jlink folder, and double-
click InstDrivers.exe.
IMPORTANT: To communicate with the Q32M210 microcontroller, install the J-Link drivers.

Exit the installation window.
5.
Remove the CD-ROM.
2.2 Installing the Documentation and the Stand-Alone Flash Loader
Install the Q32M210 documentation or the Stand-Alone Flash Loader from the Q32M210
Documentation and Utilities CD.
If your system has the CD-ROM autorun feature enabled, autorun.exe runs automatically
when you insert the disk.
Otherwise, run autorun.exe from the Q32M210 CD-ROM using either Windows Explorer, the
command line, or the Run command from the Windows Start menu.
You will see a Q32M210 Documentation and Utilities CD window with installation options.

To download the latest version of the software from the IAR website, go to:
http://www.iar.com/ewarm.
Alternatively, insert the IAR CD-ROM.
If your system has the CD-ROM autorun feature enabled, an IAR Embedded
Workbench for ARM window with a menu of items to install (called an
installation window hereafter) automatically appears.
Otherwise, run autorun.exe from the IAR CD-ROM using either Windows
Explorer, the command line, or the Run command from the Windows Start
menu.
