Section 1 Getting to Know Your Camcorder Overview The camcorder equipped a 5 Mega Pixel sensor that can take H.264 format videos. The H.264 technology allows for extended video recording with less memory. High quality images up to 16 mega-pixels can also be delivered smoothly.
Safety Instructions Do not drop, puncture or disassemble the camcorder; otherwise the warranty will be voided. Avoid all contact with water, and dry hands before using. Do not expose the camcorder to high temperature or leave it in direct sunlight. Doing so may damage the camcorder.
Section 2 Getting Started Loading the Battery Before using the camera, you must load the supplied Lithium-ion rechargeable battery. Insert the battery according to the correct polarity marks ( + or -). Close the battery cover firmly. Note REMOVE Please remove the insulator on battery connection before use. Charge your battery You must use the supplied AC charger or the USB cable.
Inserting and Removing an SD Card (Optional) The camcorder comes with an internal memory which allows you to store photos and videos. You can expand the memory capacity by using an optional SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card. Insert the memory card into the slot. Please refer to the figure on the right side.
Turning the Camcorder On and Getting Started • To turn on the camcorder: Press [Power Button] for one second to turn it on. • To record video: In Record Mode, press [Video Button] to record videos. To stop recording, press it again.
Section 3 Record Mode Button Function [Video] Button: Press to take video. To stop recording, press it again. [Photo] Button: ress to take photo. [Playback] Button: Switch between the Record /Playback Mode. [Return/Exit] Button: Return to the previous screen. Exit. [Tele(Up)] Button: Zoom In.

Video Recording • In Video Record Mode, press [Video] Button to start recording. When a video is being recorded, a time indicator will display on the LCD monitor. To stop recording, press the [Video] Button again. • Press the [Playback] Button to view the recorded videos.

Face Tracking The camcorder can detect human face(s) and focus on the face(s) automatically. This function works in photo mode for capturing portraits in backlight scenes. The camcorder adjusts the ISO sensitivity of its images automatically. Two manual ISO sensitivity settings are available. (800/1600). The larger the number is, the higher the ISO sensitivity is set to. Select a small number to shoot a smoother image. Select a large number to shoot an image in a dark location or to shoot a subject moving at high speed.
Effects Operation Display Screen Press [Menu/OK] Button in the Record Mode. The main menu will show on the screen. Use the Direction Button to select the [ Effects ] icon and then press the [OK] Button to enter its submenu. The Effects menu contains 3 options-- Scene, Filter, and White Balance --for you to adjust the camcorder settings.

Video Playback Operation Display Screen In the Video Playback Mode, press the [OK] Button to play or pause the video. When the video is paused, press the [Down] Button to go to its delete screen. Use the [Right/Left] Button to go to the next/ previous video.
Delete File in Playback Mode Operation Display Screen In the Playback Mode, press the [Down] Button to go to the delete screen. Select to delete the current file and then select to delete it. Select to cancel and exit. Select to delete all files and select delete them.

Language Use this option to select the language of the user interface. Operation Display Screen In the Setup menu, select the [Language] icon and then press the [OK] Button to enter its setting menu. Select the desired option and then press the [OK] Button to validate the setting.

Section 6 Viewing Photos and Videos on TV Connecting to a High-Definition 16:9(Wide) TV Connect the HDMI cable to your camcorder’s HDMI Out port. Connect the other end of the cable to a television. Set the video input source of your TV to “ HDMI.” The steps for viewing stored videos and photos on an HDTV are exactly the same as for viewing them on the LCD monitor.

Section 8 Uploading Files to Internet The built-in CAMILEO UPLOADER application offers you an easy way to upload your files to the social websites instantly. It helps you share them with your family and friends on the web sites. Also, the bundled software, ArcSoft MediaImpression, can be used to upload your files to the web sites.

Choose the website you want to upload. Press [Internet Button] on the camcorder again. The files marked with (also in the blue frame) will be uploaded to the website automatically. (You have to fill in the information and check [Remember Password] on the [SETTINGS] page firstly.

To upload files selected manually to Internet: Follow the step 2 and 3 on the previous page. Choose the website you want to upload. Click on [VIDEOS]/[PHOTOS] to go to the videos/ photos thumbnail page. Scroll the bar to change the pages.

To setup your account information for the website: Choose the website. Click on [SETTINGS] to go to the setup page. Fill in your account information in the blanks. Then click on “Save”. You can check [Remember Password] to save your account information and password in CAMILEO UPLOADER.
Section 9 PC Camera Mode PC Camera Mode-Webcam Connect the computer and camcorder with the supplied mini USB2.0 cable. Press the [Playback] Button to switch to the PC Camera Mode. The Indicator Light turns BLUE. In this mode, you can implement live video conference meetings and multimedia communications.

Section 11 Troubleshooting Troubleshooting The files on the memory card do not display smoothly when the LCD shows the “!” marking. The “!” symbol means the SD card is too low of a speed or contains corrupted files. The way to solve this condition is to format SD card by the camcorder instead of a PC (Please refer to the detailed Format instruction in Section 5).
