Install bottom reinforcement of the floor and the balcony
slab.
Install top reinforcement of the floor slab and any
additional edge
reinforcement.
Add longitudinal tension reinforcement on both sides at
the bottom of the insulation joint with end anchoring
.

Place and align the HIT unit and attach it to the top
reinforcement of the floor slab by wire ties. Place and
align the HIT unit and attach it to the top reinforcement
of the floor slab by wire ties. Check that the red arrow on
the top of the unit is pointing towards the balcony (see
illustration below). The top reinforcing bars of the floor
slab (running transverse to the slab edge) are at the
same level as the top HIT unit bars. The perpendicular
bars parallel to the slab edge are positioned below the
top level of reinforcement.
Add longitudinal top reinforcement to both sides of the
insulation joint.
Install the upper reinforcement of the balcony slab and
secure it to the top bars of the HIT unit by wire ties.
When pouring the concrete to form the floor and balcony
slabs check that it is poured and compacted equally to
prevent displacement of the HIT units. Also double-check
the level of the balcony slab!
Install bottom and
top slab reinforcement.
Place and align the HIT element and use wire ties to
attach it to the top floor slab reinforcement. Check that
the red arrow on the top of the unit is pointing towards
the balcony (see illustration below).
At each HIT shear bar add a stirrup on both sides of the
insulation joint.
Install reinforcing bars below and above, and end
stirrups
on both the balcony and the floor slab side.
Place the bottom and top reinforcement
balcony, including the edge reinforcement.
When pouring the concrete to form the floor and balcony
slabs check that it is poured and compacted equally to
prevent displacement of the HIT units. Also double-check
the level of the balcony slab!
