5 MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

5.1 CLEANING
Clean exposed parts with a sponge and delicate detergent then dry with a soft cloth or chammy leather. The mattress inside the SPENCER
SHELL can be cleaned using soap and water and disinfected using a normal disinfectant. Failure to carry out the cleaning procedure could
result in cross contamination caused by residuals of secretions or body liquids. We recommend the use of STX 98 detergent (code ST50010C)
for correct cleansing of the polyethylene shell.
5.2 MAINTENANCE
5.2.1 Precautionary Maintenance
The correct and routine cleaning of the stretcher will guarantee it a longer life time. When the stretcher is put into service, a maintenance and
check up routine should be arranged and a person responsible for Its execution should be identified.
Checks to perform:
The structure of the stretcher
Wearing on the belts, mattress and perimeter rope
Rivets around perimeter being tightly and correctly attached
Check the correct attachment of the grommets for the lifting bridle
The device does not require periodical servicing.
5.2.2 Special servicing
