These oscilloscope probes are to be used only
with
oscilloscopes
that
are
permanently
attached to EARTH.
Introduction
Fixed attenuation X1, X10, or switch selectable X1, X10 Oscilloscope
probes. Suitable for use with most general purpose oscilloscopes with
bandwidths up to 250MHz. All versions feature a field replaceable
probe head and screw-in probe tip. Each kit includes a full set of
accessories and full instruction leaflet. These oscilloscope probes have
been designed to meet the requirements of BS EN61010-1 to 300V
CATII and hence satisfy the 'low voltage directive'. 'CE' mark is applied.

Probe compensation (figure 3)
The following adjustment is required whenever the X10 or switchable
probe in X10 position is transferred from one oscilloscope or input
channel to another. Connect the probe to the oscilloscope and select
the X10 position on the probe switch. Apply a 1kHz square wave signal
to the probe tip and adjust the oscilloscope controls to display a
few cycles of the waveform with an amplitude of approximately 5
divisions, adjust the compensating trimmer to obtain a flat topped
square wave.
