BR-4100 Bar Code Reader (RS232)

Dip Switch Settings

The switch block located on the bottom of the reader provides seven switches to configure the bar code
reader. Turn off power before setting any switches to ensure they are properly loaded.

Switch 1,2: Baud Rate

Switch 3,4: Parity

Switch 5: Option to enable or disable STX (start of text) and ETX (end of text).
These are ASCII codes whose values are 02h and 03h respectively, and can be preformed to
pack together the normal data transmission.

Switch 6: Auto CR (carriage return). A carriage return will be sent after each read.
