Joystick

The joystick is used to operate the fan
settings and lighting.

Turning on the fan

 Move the joystick once to the right.
The fan switches on at power level 2.

Selecting the power level

Power levels 1 to 3 can be used for light
to heavy cooking vapors and odors.
For strong vapors and odors that are
temporarily produced when cooking,
e.g., during searing, select level 4
(intensive setting).
 Move the joystick repeatedly to the
right to select a higher power level.
For a lower setting, move the joystick
to the left.
Automatically switching back
from the intensive level
The intensive level can be programmed
to automatically switch back to level 3
after 10 minutes.
 To do this, first turn off the fan and
the overhead lighting.
 Press the delayed shut down button
 for approx. 10 seconds until the
first fan setting indicator light lights
up.
 Next, move the joystick in the
following order:
– once to the rear
– once to the left
– once to the rear
The indicator lights for fan settings 1
and 4 will flash if the automatic switch-
back from the intensive level is not
activated.
 To activate the automatic switch-
back function, move the joystick once
to the right.
If the automatic switch-back function is
activated, the 1 and 4 indicator lights
will light up.
 To deactivate the automatic switch-
back function, move the joystick once
to the left.
 Press the delayed shut down button
 to confirm the setting.
If you do not confirm the new setting
within 4 minutes, the hood will revert
to the previous setting.
Selecting the delayed shut

It is a good idea to let the fan run for a
few more minutes after cooking in order
to neutralize any lingering vapors or
odors in the air.
