II. General Description The Triplett SoniChek MC is a compact Sound Level Meter with C Weighting. Its ergonomic handsized design is convenient and practical. Features include a large auto backlit LCD display, MIN and MAX memories, Auto Power Off, tripod mounting thread, and a non-slip rubber grip.

V. Measurement Preparation 1: Install New Battery Remove the battery cover on the back of the SoniChek MC and observing proper polarity, install one 9V Battery. 2: Battery Replacement When the battery voltage is low, “BAT” appears on the LCD. Replace battery. VI.

Measurement (Refer to “Control Locations and Descriptions”) 1: Turn on power by pressing and releasing the ON/OFF button (3) 2: Hold the instrument comfortably in hand or fix on tripod and point the microphone at the sound source.
