TROUBLESHOOTING

Check to see the following before request for repair.
If a trouble can not be removed even after checking and trying remedy, contact your dealer.
Trouble
Power does not turn on.
No sound is heard from the
speakers connected to SUB
OUTPUT.
No sound is heard from the
device connected to MULTI
IN .
No sound is heard from the
device assigned to MULTI
INPUT ST jack.
The volume of the stereo
input line is unstable.
No sound from an input line
is heard when Mode 1 is
selected.
The power cord insulation is
damaged.
The power cord, plug and
connectors get hot during
the use.
The power cord gets heat
when bent or stretched.

Check item
Is the power cord connected between the
inlet socket of this unit and AC receptacle?
Is the DIP switch of the assigned input line
set to OFF?
Are all assign buttons set to OFF (l) or a
wrong assign button is set to ON (;)?
Is a CD/MD player connected to LINE IN at the
front panel? The signals from the MULTI INPUT
ST jacks, MULTI INPUT MONO connector and
LINE IN jack are not available at the same time.
Is the ST 1- 4 AUTO MUTE switch set to
ON?
The levels of stereo (mono) output lines are
adjusted with the STEREO (MONO) OUT knob.
Is the level of the knob set to 0?
Remedy
Connect the power cord between the
power socket of this unit and AC recepta-
cle.
Set the DIP switch of the assigned input
line to ON.
(Refer to p. 18)
Press the assign button for the proper
input line.
(Refer to p. 8 or p. 19)
Disconnect the CD/MD player from LINE
IN.
Set the ST 1- 4 AUTO MUTE switch to OFF.
Adjust the level of the STEREO (MONO)
OUT knob.
The power cord, plug and connectors are
worn out.
This may result in electric shock or a fire.
Unplug the unit from the receptacle imme-
diately and refer to qualified service per-
sonnel.
