For maximum i lter performance and anti-
scale protection, the BRITA Maxtra i lter
cartridge must be replaced every 8 weeks.
To ensure this is done, the cover of the
water tank has a built-in BRITA Maxtra
Filter cartridge change indicator. It tells you
by means of bars when the i lter cartridge
should be replaced.
To activate the BRITA Filter cartridge
change indicator, please press and hold the
start button until the four bars briel y light
up twice in the display area.
The blinking dot in the lower right corner
tells you that the Filter cartridge change
indicator is working. All four bars should be
visible.
Every second week from now on, one bar
will disappear. If no bars are visible after
eight weeks and the arrow is blinking,
please replace the i lter cartridge. To
remove the i lter cartridge, pull it upwards
on its strap.
When preparing to use a new i lter
cartridge, please proceed as described
in the section "BRITA Maxtra water
i ltration system" and reset the BRITA Filter
cartridge change indicator.
