Introduction

With the PROTOS 213 you have a bike computer of the highest Precision acquired. It is equipped with state-of-the-art electronics and is waterproof. Please read these operating instructions carefully.

Mounting

Please mount the handlebar mount on the stem or handlebar with the cable ties (Fig. 1). To do this, pull the cable ties either in direction of travel (handlebar mounting) or transverse to the direction of travel (stem mounting) through the recesses provided for this purpose on the handlebar mount. Position the handlebar holder at the desired location (Fig. 2) and tighten the cable ties. The ends of the cable ties can be cut off with scissors.
Mounting - Part 1

Now pull the cable ties through the openings on the transmitter. Please mount the magnet on a spoke (Fig. 3) and position the transmitter on the fork so that the distance between magnet and transmitter with a maximum of 3 mm (Fig. 4). Now you can tighten the cable ties on the transmitter and cut of the ends with scissors.

Starting

Inserting the battery:
Insert battery type CR2032 with plus-pole facing up. Close battery cap with a coin, being sure not to over tighten.

Key Functions

The mode button switches the 4th display line between the functions daily kilometres, total kilometres, average speed and max. Speed. The SET key switches in the 2nd display line between the functions daily driving time, total driving time, current calorie consumption and consumption of total calories. In addition, every time you press a button it activates the backlight briefly. Press both buttons simultaneously for about 5 seconds activates the commuter function, "Light On" flashes on the display. The commuter function enables you to use the backlight permanently.

To switch off the commuter function, press both buttons for for about 5 seconds until "Light Off Mode" appears and the illumination goes out. After each journey, the PROTOS series switches off to save battery power automatically goes into standby mode after some time. By this switching off the commuter function is automatically deactivated. This serves the longer battery life. The commuter function must be switched on before each ride.

To reset the daily values, you must press the MODE button for about 5 seconds (Reset appears in the display). Please hold the key until the display returns to the normal display. If the MODE button is pressed for 10 seconds, all values, also the yearly values, reset to "0" (Total Reset flashes in display). To execute the function, you must also wait here until the display switches back to the normal display. Press the set button for 5 seconds to enter the settings.

Settings

The SET key is used to set flashing values in the display. By Pressing the Mode button will save these values and the system will is switched to the next setting point.
Press the SET button for about 4 seconds. In the upper display line 24H appears. Here you can select with the SET button whether you want to display the time in 12 or 24 hour format. A Pressing the MODE button now saves this and switches to the setting of the time.
The flashing hour display can now be changed with the SET button to adjust. When the desired value is reached, press the MODE button the value is stored and the minute display flashes.
Now use the SET button to reset the value. To save then please press the MODE button.
According to this use case, all settings can now be changed step by step can be made.

  • Wheel circumference in inches (see table)
    Presets from 16"- 29" and 700
  • Wheel circumference individually correctable in mm
  • Presetting of the total kilometres to 999999 km without decimal point
  • Presetting of the total travel time in Hours and minutes
    (max. 9999 hours and 59 minutes)
