3 General safety instructions
The transport chair is only approved for use inside
buildings. It is only suitable for flat surfaces. Do not
use the product all day, as it may cause damage to
your health due to the lack of suspension and
adjustment options during long-term use. While the
product is in motion, do not reach between the brake
and wheel or into the rotating spokes of the drive
wheels. No objects, such as items of clothing, may
get caught in the spokes.
Smaller uneven surfaces and obstacles may only be
driven over with the help of an attendant. When
doing so, the obstacle must be driven over with both
caster wheels at the same time to prevent lateral
tipping. Do not shift your weight by tilting your upper
body sideways, frontally or backwards, e.g. when
reaching for objects. This may cause the chair to tip
over. Do not exceed walking speed when using the
wheelchair.
All serious incidents related to this product must be
reported to us (manufacturer).
4 Operation and functions
- 24" wheels with handrim
The 24" polyurethane drive wheels are puncture-
proof. As a self-propelled unit, only the handrims are
to be used for propelling. Collisions or wall contact
must be avoided because the hands then extend
beyond the wheelchair and are particularly at risk.
- Parking brakes
To lock the knee lever brakes, the levers must be
pressed forwards/downwards. When locked, it must
not be possible to move the wheelchair with a load.
Parking brakes may not be used to reduce speed
while driving. Uneven application may result in loss
of direction. In the event of sudden closing, the
wheelchair brakes sharply and the user may fall out.
-The footrest is used to place the feet. The footrest
is attached to the lower frame rails so that it can be
moved into position simply by pulling it forward or
pushing it back. The footrest must not be loaded
with the full body weight, otherwise the wheelchair
may tip over.
