    This documentation addendum is provided as a supplement to the main TRACe-LP1 user’s guide reference SD.DT.G74. It details the use of the 3G/4G cellular modem option of the Kontron TRACe-LP1 LoRaWAN™ gateway, as well as the WIFI option. The 3G/4G modem and WIFI options have to be specified at the time of the ordering of the gateway.

    2/ 3G/4G cellular modem function 2.1. Ethernet Cabling This option adds a 3G/4G cellular modem connectivity to the Kontron TRACe-LP1 base product which offers, by default, a wired Ethernet connection. The TCP/IP MQTT messages can then transit through a 3G/4G wireless link to reach the MQTT server.

    A SIM card of format MiniSIM, provided by the telecom operator, must be inserted from the maintenance face of the Kontron TRACe-LP1. To access the maintenance connectors, the maintenance plate must first be unscrewed. The maintenance plate is located on the opposite face of the operational face featuring the main antennas, power supply and Ethernet connectors.

    5/ WIFI function This option adds WIFI connectivity to the Kontron TRACe-LP1 base product which offers, by default, a wired Ethernet connection. If configured in client mode, the TCP/IP MQTT messages can then transit through a WIFI wireless link to reach the MQTT server.

You should then see the Connection Established notification.
