Commissioning the Device

  • Sensitive surfaces may be protected by plastic foil. Remove this foil.
  • The alkaline batteries in the battery compartment are secured for transport using a film. This extends the service life of the batteries.
    Remove this film in order to render the appliance ready for operation.

Replace Worn-Out Batteries

  1. Open the battery compartment lid on the back.
  2. Replace the cells with two batteries of the same type (LR44 / A76).
    Match the polarities correctly.
  3. Close the battery compartment.

  • The batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like. Danger of explosion!
  • Keep batteries away from children! They are not a toy.
  • Do not open batteries with force.
  • shock hazard Avoid contact with metallic objects (rings, nails, screws, etc.). There is a risk of short circuit!
  • burn hazard Batteries may heat up considerably through a short circuit or may even ignite. It could result in burns.
  • The battery terminals should be covered with adhesive tape during transport for your safety.
  • If a battery does leak out, do not rub the liquid into your eyes or the mucous membranes. In case of contact, wash your hands, rinse your eyes with clear water, and if the symptoms persist, consult a doctor.

  • Batteries can leak battery acid. If the device is out of use for a long period of time, remove the batteries.
  • Different battery types or new and used batteries must not be used together.
  • Batteries are not to be disposed of together with domestic wastes. Dispose of the used batteries at the relevant collection bin or at your dealer's.

Operation

With the use of an internal sensor, the appliance calculates not only the room temperature and air humidity, but also displays an evaluation of the indoor temperature. However, the measurement does not reflect the actual weather conditions. To receive an approximation of weather trends, place the appliance near an open window.

MODE Button

The normal time display is the standard time display. The appliance automatically switches back to this display every approx. 20 seconds.

Press the MODE button repeatedly to alternate between the following displays:
Alarm time Date normal time display

Set Preferences

  • Set preferences with the UP / DOWN buttons.
  • Use the SET button to switch to the next setting.
  • Next, save the setting using the MODE button.

Adjust Time

  1. While the time display is active, press the SET button and hold it down for 3 seconds. The time of day display format (12 Hr) flashes in the display.
  2. Now adjust the time of day display format (12 Hr or 24 Hr), the hours and the minutes, one after the other.

Set Date

  1. Select the date display using the MODE button.
  2. While the date display is active, press the SET button and hold it down for 3 seconds. The year will begin to blink.
  3. Now adjust the year, month (MONTH) and day (DATE), one after the other.

NOTE:
The correct weekday will be automatically displayed.

Set Alarm

  1. Select the alarm using the MODE button.
  2. While the alarm display is active, press the SET button and hold it down for 3 seconds. The hours will begin to blink.
  3. Now adjust the hours and the minutes one after the other.

Switch On / Off Alarm Time and Hourly Reminder

While the alarm time is being displayed, press the UP button to switch the alarm time on / off and / or switch the hourly reminder on / off.

  • While the alarm is activated, the symbol will appear next to the normal time display.

NOTE:

  • As soon as the adjusted alarm time is reached, the symbol will blink in the display.
  • After one minute, the alarm signal automatically switches into the snooze function.
  • Deactivate alarm until the following day:
    Press the MODE button, or use the snooze function.
  • Snooze Function (SNOOZE):
    Press the DOWN button to switch off the signal tone for approx. 4 minutes. The symbol will blink.
  • If the hourly reminder is activated, then the symbol will appear in the display. Now, at every full hour, a short beep will sound.

Toggle Temperature Display Between °C and °F

Press the SET button repeatedly to select °C or °F.

Display of MIN / MAX values

Press the UP button repeatedly to display the maximum, minimum, or current temperature / air humidity.

information NOTE: Reset MIN and MAX values
During the MIN or MAX display, hold the UP button down for approximately 2 seconds. The appliance switches back to the current values.

RESET Button

Any malfunction during operation can be resolved by pressing the reset button.

Cleaning


Do not immerse the device in water.

  • Any marks on the surface can be wiped off with a slightly damp cloth without any additives.
  • Polish with a dry, soft cloth.
