Initial basic settings

Number of rings

You can set the answering system to answer an incoming call after 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6
rings. You can also select toll saver. If you choose toll saver, the answering system
answers a call after two rings when you have new messages, or after four rings
when there are no new messages. This enables you to check for new messages and
avoid paying unnecessary long distance charges if you are calling from out of your
local area.
Using a cordless handset:
1. MENU ->

-> Ans sys setup -> SELECT.
-> # of rings -> SELECT.

to choose among 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or Toll saver -> SELECT.

Note: With the Smart call blocker feature, the first ring of all incoming calls will be muted.

Ringer volume

You can set the ringer volume level to one of the six levels, or turn the ringer off.
When the ringer is off,
Adjust a cordless handset volume:
1. MENU ->
/
SELECT
to select Ringer volume.

to choose the desire level -> SELECT.

Note: You can set the volume of each handset individually and differently.
Adjust the telephone base volume:
VOL
Press
f
-> Answering sys -> SELECT.
appears on the screen.
-> Ringers -> SELECT.
on the base when the phone system is not in use.
