    DOC-USR-0155-05 1.0 GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Z3Cam-LX by Z3 Technology is an H.265/HEVC 4K IP camera. The innovative Z3Cam-LX has multiple options for your IP transmission including MPEG-2 TS (UDP), RTP, RTSP, RTMP* and TSRTP. The system can output both H.265/HEVC and H.264 video over IP in 4K resolutions. It is also capable of producing a secondary stream with a smaller resolution or different codec.

    5.0 GETTING STARTED WITH Z3Cam-LX This section gives step-by-step instructions on using your PC to access the Z3Cam-LX user interface. Here you’ll be able to change the settings to fit your video streaming needs and control the camera. In addition to the Z3Cam-LX, a Windows PC, a 12V power supply and an Ethernet cable are required.

    Note: The Z3Cam-LX is set to DHCP by default. If no DHCP server is available on the network, a static IP address of 192.168.0.120 and a netmask of 255.255.0.0 will be assigned. The IP address can be manually entered as the URL in a browser window to access the user interface.

Click on the CH1 tab for channel one configuration settings. If the encoder status message in the bottom right corner of the screen shows RUNNING, you will need to click the stop or Stop All button in order to change any settings.

    In general, streaming using RTP will result in lower latency than streaming using TS. When streaming UDP or TSRTP, the Z3Cam-LX supports a low latency mode called TS Lowlat Mode. When enabled, TS Lowlat Mode sends the transport stream packets as soon as possible, instead of pacing them out evenly.

    DOC-USR-0155-05 6.8 Composite Pass-Through The Z3Cam-LX allows for the currently encoded content to be passed through to the Composite output while the unit is streaming. This allows the camera content to be viewed on a TV or other display monitor.

    6.9 Record Snapshot Z3CAM-LX supports taking a snapshot while streaming video (software V2.08 or later). By default the snapshot will be at the native Z3Cam-LX camera resolution (3840x2160) with an option to change the size of image. There are two ways to record a snapshot: (1) Using Camera Tab (see section 7.2)

If the camera is rebooted or power cycled, you will need to reconnect COM2TCP on your PC. COM2TCP does not automatically detect the dropped connection.
