Fan speed up
When the hood is on but the fan is off, press the Fan Speed Up key once to turn on the fan at full power in
Manual Mode and "S.P" is shown in the display. This speed automatically drops down to level 5 after five
minutes to conserve energy. With the fan on speeds 1 to 5, each press of this key will increase the fan speed
one level at a time to full power. Alternatively press and hold this key for two seconds to turn on the fan on
full power as above.
Timer
In Manual Mode
Press the Timer key
The fan will stay on the current speed for five minutes before dropping down to the next level. The speed will
then drop again every two minutes unless this is already at level 1 and then the fan will turn off.
Alternatively, press the Timer key again to cancel the timer program. Note that the fan will stay on indefinitely
at its current speed.
Pressing either Fan Speed key when the Timer icon is flashing will restart the cycle at five minutes on the
current speed if required.
The maximum timer program is fifteen minutes: five minutes on Boost and two minutes each on the speeds
5 to 1.
In Automatic Mode
By pressing the Timer key in this mode, the hood will switch to Manual Mode and operate as described
above. Press the Timer key again to revert back to Automatic Mode.
Maximum Air Extraction
Press and hold the Timer key for two seconds to turn the fan on at maximum speed and start the fifteen
minute timer program, even if the fan or hood is switched off.
Air sensor operation
The built-in air sensor will react to changes in the generation of cooking fumes in your kitchen by
automatically controlling the motor speed.
The Air Sense Status icon will advise you of the current condition and will change from green to amber and
then red when the highest level of cooking fumes are detected.
As the motor removes the fumes from your kitchen, the colour will revert back to amber and then green.
NOTE: It is perfectly normal for the Air Sense icon to change to red when cooking and this does not indicate
a fault with the appliance.
Sensor calibration for first use
To gain the maximum benefit from the sensor, it is recommended to run the calibration in your kitchen before
any cooking commences:
