Options for parallel use of digital multichannel formats:
In the internal settings of your TV/beamer, switch its audio output
format to „Bitstream" or other and activate the Optimizer Passthrough
function by pressing the „THRU" button on the back panel [6]. Pink LED
„THRU" on the front lights up [7]. This will route the input signal to the
HDMI ARC OUT of the Optimizer unchanged [4]. The Optimizer is the-

refore inactive. If your TV/beamer has an analog sound output, connect
it additionally to the Optimizer, socket „Analog In" [2]. A possible analog

the scope of delivery of the Optimizer. If your TV/beamer has the option
Analog In
„static" or „dynamic" at this output, we recommend „static" for a cons-
tant level. If you can control the volume of the analog output of your TV/
beamer, we recommend about 95%, so that the Optimizer gets enough
input level. Leave the sound output format of the TV/beamer at Bitstre-
am or other. Now you can hear the sound optimized by the Optimizer in

Commissioning
1.
Switch off your TV/Beamer
2. Connect a USB socket of your TV/beamer to the USB socket [1]
using the supplied USB cable.
3. Using the supplied HDMI 2.1 cable, connect the HDMI ARC
connector of your TV/beamer to the HDMI ARC IN jack [3].
4. Connect the HDMI ARC OUT jack [4] to the HDMI ARC port of your
external sound system using another HDMI cable (not included)
and set its input source to „HDMI ARC".
5. Our recommendation: Switch off all internal sound effects of your
TV/beamer and also external sound systems, so that the Optimizer
can unfold its full effect.
6. You can attach the unit to the back of your TV with the included
self-adhesive Velcro straps, or stick the included stand feet to the
bottom of the unit and place it next to your TV.
7.
Turn on your TV/projector and mute its internal speakers. Your
external sound system should now switch on automatically if it was
previously in standby mode.
8. Set your TV/beamer to PCM, also called PCM 2.0 or Stereo, in its
internal sound output format settings. If you do not do this,
you may hear a metallic hiss instead of a clean sound after
activating the Optimizer.
9. Turn down the volume of the sound system connected to the
Optimizer. Since the HDSX TV SOUND OPTIMIZER immediately
detects and optimizes volume levels that are too low, there may
be large volume increases depending on the audio material being
listened to when it is activated.
10. Select the „HDMI" input via the „HDMI/Analog" selector switch [10]
on the front of the device. Blue „HDMI" LED on the front panel lights
up [9].
11. You activate the Optimizer by pressing the „THRU" switch on the
back of the device [6]. Pink LED „THRU" on the front does not light
up [7].
12. When the Optimizer is activated, you set your desired volume once
and then enjoy the new freedom of watching TV. All devices
directly connected to the Optimizer can be operated centrally with
just one remote control thanks to HDMI ARC.
13. You activate the virtual 3D sound HDSX.360 by pressing the switch
„HDSX.360" on the back of the device [5]. Blue LED „HDSX.360" on
the front panel lights up [8].
