♦
Adjustable thermostat
Turning the Unit On or Off
♦
To turn the unit on, first connect it to a mains
power socket.
NOTE: Before plugging in, take care to ensure that
the heat setting control is set to the "0" position and
the thermostat to "*".
♦
Once the unit is powered on adjust the dials away
from "0" & "*" and air will start to emit. The power
light will illuminate.
♦
To turn the unit off, set the dials back to "0" & "*"
and air will stop being emitted. The power light
will go off. Unplug the appliance if it is no longer
required.
NOTE: It is normal for heaters to emit some smell
and fumes when turned on for the first time or after
having not been used for a long period of time. This
will disappear when the heater has been on for a
short while.
Heat Setting Selection
♦
This unit is equipped with a choice of 2 heat
settings and a cooling fan mode.
♦
Turn the heat selection control to cycle between
the available heating and cooling fan settings:
Cool air: turn the heat selection control to the
setting.
Heating at mid power: turn the heat selection
control to setting 1.
Heating at full power: turn the heat selection
control to setting 2.

Regulating the Thermostat
♦
Turn the thermostat control in a clockwise
direction until it reaches the maximum setting.
♦
When the room has reached the required
temperature turn the thermostat control slowly in
an anti-clockwise direction up to the point where
the appliance switches off, and not beyond.
♦
The heater will now automatically turn itself on
or off as required to maintain the selected room
temperature.
Automatic Cut-Off
♦
The heater is fitted with a safety device which
will switch off the heater in case of accidental
overheating (e.g. obstruction of air intake and
outlet grilles, motor turning slowly or not at all).
♦
To reset, turn the heat selection control to the "0"
position, disconnect the plug from the power for a
few minutes and allow the unit to cool down. Then
plug the appliance in again and operate normally.
If the unit does not reset, contact the manufacturer
or its service agent or a qualified person.
Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING: Before cleaning and maintenance,
switch the appliance off and remove the plug from
the socket, to prevent electric shock.
♦
Ensure that the unit is cool before commencing
cleaning.
♦
Do not immerse any part of the appliance, power
cord or plug in liquids.
♦
DO NOT ALLOW water into the appliance.
♦
Use a soft damp cloth to wipe the surface. Avoid
using detergent, spray or chemicals as these may
cause damage to the appliance. Ensure the heater
is thoroughly dry before attempting to plug it back
into the mains.
♦
Clean the air inlet/outlet grilles frequently. If
necessary, use a vacuum cleaner on low power
to remove dust and fluff from the inlet and outer
grille. If dust or dirt has collected inside the unit or
around the element, unplug it from the mains and
contact a qualified service technician. DO NOT
attempt to operate the heater when there is dust
or debris on the inside.
♦
Store in a cool dry place when not in use.
