    Before starting with operations check both implement and tractor for working and road safety. 1.1 Defined use a) The “REPOSSI” side delivery rake is intended solely for normal use in agricultural work:  The swathing of forage, silage fodder and straw.

    Do not use high-pressure washers for the cleaning of bearing and hy- draulic parts. REPOSSI realized a rake compliant with safety requirements.     -2- General guidelines for working with the Comb Rakes 2.1 Safety guidelines (See 1.1 – 1.3 – 1.4) All work in the immediate area of the rakes may only be carried out when the p.t.o. is switched off. Caution! Do not enter rake area while driving mo- tor is running.

    -3- Use of the machine 3.1 Assembling the machine The fitting is normally distributed with the combs on the top of the belt lowered and with the direction lever disassembled. To set up the fitting for use, follow the following instructions: 1) Fit the steering lever (A) in the housings provided, stopping it from sliding out with the cotter pin supplied (B).

    3.2 Tractor coupling (See 1.3 – 1.4 – 1.6) Before being used, the rake tedder must be lubricated by greasing (Vedi 4.5) Belt tension does not need any adjustment for start-up. However this must be checked after the first ten hours of operation to tighten any stretching.

    3.4 Changing from transport to operational configuration Raking The band runs horizontally and must be adjusted about 1÷2 cm above the ground so that fodder is raked up without causing excessive stress on mechanical parts. The swath board (H) must be widened and fitted in a position ade- quate for the amount of hay being raked.

    Tedding, airing The machine is adjusted always operating on the wheels (D) as showed in the picture. The swath board is removed in this case (H). CAUTION: The area surrounding the fitting during operation must be kept out of bounds to other people. Do not under any circumstances operate the hay rake tedder if the driver is not on his driving seat.

    -4- Maintenance of the machine Safety guidelines (See 1.6) 4.1 General  Turn engine off when adjustment, service and repair work is to be done.  In order to keep the implement in good condition after long peri- ods of operation, please observe the following points: - The machine must be accurately checked after the first five hours of operation.

    4.3 Belt tension To ensure the right working of the machine, act as follows: a. EVERY 150 WORKING HOURS: Verify the tension of driving belt (from central connection to band group) (O) and the tension of the two band belts (P); generally these belts slocken after sev- eral working hours.
