- Page 4 START-UP AND OPERATION INTRODUCTION 1. Verify that the RED vented plug is installed in pressure washer pump as shown in Fig 1. 2. Before first use, check engine and pump oil levels. Note: For shipping purposes, engine oil has not been added. Before each use, check engine oil level by unscrewing the oil dipstick.
