    Setting Up Your Notebook This section describes how to start using your computer and how to use your computer’s internal and external devices such as the touchpad, floppy disk drive, and DVD-ROM drive. Ergonomic Considerations You will be using your notebook computer as a portable device in a variety of environments.

The second battery pack inserts into the multipurpose drive bay on the right side of the computer. (See “Using Power Saving Modes” on page 44.) When held down with another key, the Ctrl (Control) and Alt (Alternate) keys offer another way to give commands.
