Important Safety Information Read and Understand this User Manual Before Use Read this entire User Manual before using the BrightDrop Trace Grocery and keep this manual for future reference. This User Manual contains important safety, and operation information. This manual is intended to remind you of your training, but the manual is not a substitute for operator training.
● DO NOT carry passengers on or in the Trace Grocery. ● The Trace Grocery should be loaded, transported, and used in accordance with approved BrightDrop products and services. Any other loading, transport, or use of the Trace Grocery will be at your own risk and liability.
● Close ALL drawers before moving the unit. Push drawers firmly to close. If a drawer is not able to be closed fully, check whether contents are interfering. ● When loading an empty unit, ALWAYS load the bottom drawers first to prevent tipping and to keep the center of gravity as low as possible.

● DO NOT use radio communication devices operating at a radio frequency of 1.429 GHz within 10 inches of the Trace Grocery’s handlebars. ● ONLY travel the Trace Grocery on paved or smooth level surfaces free of hazards. DO NOT use on gravel, dirt, bumps, potholes, or other areas that do not have a finished surface like a sidewalk, to prevent damage to the Trace Grocery or tipping over.
DO NOT use the battery pack or charger for any use other than its intended purpose. ● ONLY use the battery charger provided with the Trace Grocery or a BrightDrop approved replacement. ● Turn the Trace Grocery OFF before servicing the battery.
● When plugging and unplugging the charger from the wall, only grab the charger by the plug and not the cable. ● Do not puncture or crush the battery pack. Do not impact the battery pack or modify it in any way.

8. The battery pack must be fully charged (see Figure 4) before using the Trace Grocery for the first time. During charging, the SoC will light up on the handlebar user interface, and on the BrightDrop App. To prevent rapid deterioration of the battery, set measures in place to keep the battery from ever being fully depleted (0%) as this could lead to irreversible damage to the cells.

2. Info Indicator Light Illumination Only When the info indicator light is illuminated, check the BrightDrop App to get more information on why the indicator is on. This can range from low battery to service requirement.

When the Trace Grocery is switched on, the horn will sound when the horn button is pressed. 4. Reverse Direction - PULL Illuminated Membrane Button To choose the direction of travel, press the arrow key corresponding to the desired direction. To indicate that it was selected, the desired direction will be illuminated on the control panel 5.
This button is disabled on this product. The backlit icon will be blinking when a drawer is open, and o when all drawers are closed. 8. Main Power Button Illuminated Push Button When this button is pressed, it will illuminate to indicate the Trace Grocery motorized assist system is receiving power from the battery pack.

Caster Brakes The caster wheels are the two wheels located closest to the Handlebar User Interface The caster wheels are equipped with manual brakes to prevent motion of the Trace Grocery.
Transport ALWAYS secure the Trace Grocery from unintended movement or tip overs during transport between sites. Use mechanized lift gate or ramps to move the Trace Grocery on and o vehicles. The unit may be generally heavier than non-motorized carts. Storage Keep the Trace Grocery partially charged (at least 13%, see Figure 4) at all times to prevent rapid deterioration of the battery life.
