    Any other loading, transport, or use of the Trace is at your own risk and liability.  Never modify your Trace in any way. Do not sand, drill, file, or remove parts from your Trace. Do not install incompatible components or hardware.
  • Page 4: Intended Use

    The intended use of the Trace is to be operated by an adult (age 18 and up) for transportation of goods in an occupational setting. Only use on paved or finished surfaces and in areas permitted by law (not on roadways).

The Trace was designed to work safely and efficiently with the operator, but as the employer, you have the primary responsibility for the well-being of your employees. Operator training and the responsibility for providing a safe workplace is required by the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).
  • Page 6 The Trace can tip over even when empty. Slow down when turning and push/pull smoothly and slowly. If it does start to tip, move to a safe location away from the Trace and sound the buzzer or shout to alert pedestrians in the area.
  • Page 7 (P) PARK and TAG OUT the Trace if you experience any problems while you are working. Stop work and tell your supervisor. Make sure to tag the Trace as out of service so others will not be injured by trying to use it. If any issues are found during the Pre-Operation Safety Check, get the issue fixed before starting work or tag it out and use another Trace.

    The battery pack may emit smoke or gases if it becomes damaged or is used incorrectly. Ensure the Trace is in a well-ventilated area. Respiratory tract irritation may occur, and users should seek medical attention if they experience any adverse effects. Do not allow any others to approach the Trace.     Battery Pack Charging See the Battery Pack Safety section for more information. NOTE: If the battery pack charger is inside the Trace, you must open the doors manually to access it. Please reference the printed one pager or contact support@gobrightdrop.com.

    Figure 4. Charging Port 5. For onboard charging, locate the charge port on the Trace as indicated in Figure 4. Lift the rubber port cover and connect the onboard charging cable plug to both the Trace and the charger. NOTE: Ensure proper orientation of the charging cable plug to the charge port and turn the collar clockwise to ensure a secure connection.

    Press the down arrow key to choose reverse direction (i.e., PULL). Battery Charge Indicator The SoC of the Trace can be visualized in increments of 12.5%. Each LED illuminated in the battery charge indicator corresponds to 12.5% battery life. At full charge, all eight (8) LEDs are illuminated green.

    The throttle lever (Figure 7) allows the operator to control the speed of the propulsion. The further the lever is pulled, the faster the Trace will go. Regardless of the side that is pulled, the Trace will always travel in the direction indicated by the forward direction/reverse direction buttons.

    Make sure both doors are closed properly to engage both the top and bottom latches on the right side door. c. By default, the Trace doors will automatically return to LOCK status 10 seconds after the doors are fully closed; OR To manually lock the Trace doors, press the “Lock”...

    Reposition the shelf to the desired location, lining up the back and front brackets in the Trace frame. Push the shelf away from you (into the Trace) to snap into the rear brackets and seat in the front brackets.

    Maintenance The Trace has some user serviceable components, deemed routine service. Non-routine service should only be carried out by a Trace authorized servicer.
