3. WALL MOUNTING
3.1
Wall mounting the fan. The fan should be mounted so that both the pull cord and the oscillation knob can easily be reached. The fan should also be
mounted close enough to the mains supply to avoid the power cable being stretched. Ensure that the mounting surface is sound and can permanently
support the weight of the fan. Check the wall for hidden pipes and cables before drilling the mounting holes.
3.2
Hold the wall mounting bracket (see part No. 35 below) in place on the wall and check that it is level. Mark the three drilling positions through the holes in
the bracket. Choose suitable wall plugs and drill three holes accordingly. Fix the bracket in place with the screws provided.
3.3
Lift the fan to the bracket and allow the bracket to pass into the slot provided in the backing plate (part No.7). Slide the fan onto the bracket until the four
feet on the plate are in firm contact with the wall.
3.4
Route the power cable to the mains supply and secure to the mounting surface with cable clips.
4. FAN OPERATION
F

WARNING! Ensure you read, understand and apply the safety instructions in Part 1 before using the fan.
4.1
ON-OFF / Speed Control. Plug the fan into the mains power supply .
p
4.2
The pull string (see fig.5-A) is used the select the speed of the fan and to switch it ON and OFF. When the line on the rotary
indicator (see fig.5-B) points to both “0” markings the fan is OFF. When the string is pulled the fan will start and the rotary indicator
will move round one position to select low speed (1).To select medium speed (2) pull the string again. To select fast speed (3) pull
the string again. To switch the fan OFF from any speed repeatedly pull the string until the rotary indicator reaches the “0” position.
4.3
To make the fan oscillate. Push down oscillation knob on top of motor casing. (see fig.4.B) To stop the fan oscillating, pull knob up.
4.4
Air flow direction. The direction of air flow can be adjusted either vertically or horizontally.
The vertical adjustment is spring assisted and has several preset
positions. To adjust the fan up or down, take hold of the motor
body ( as shown in 4.A ) and move the fan through the pre-set
positions until you achieve the angle you require ( see 4.C ).
To fix the air flow direction from the side first pull up the
oscillation knob to stop the fan moving. Take hold of the motor
body as shown in 4.A below and turn the fan to the desired angle
(see 4.B below ). As you turn the unit a clicking sound will be
heard and a small degree of resistance will be felt.
5.
MAINTENANCE
5.1
Always remove the plug from the power supply before cleaning the fan. Clean with a soft, dry or slightly moistened cloth.
